1.What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use similar technologies such as browser local storage. Together we refer to them as "cookies". Where a cookie can identify you or be linked to you, the information is personal information and is handled under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and our Privacy Policy.
2.Our consent approach
Strictly necessary cookies are always set because the site cannot work without them. Every other category is off by default and is only set after you opt in through the consent banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, without penalty, using the button at the bottom of this page or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. We re-ask for consent if this policy or the categories change materially.
3.Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
Keep the site secure and functional, route requests, and remember your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every page. These cannot be switched off. Includes the airkart.cookie-consent record stored in your browser.
Analytics (optional)
Privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement of page views, referrers and device type so we can improve content and performance. We do not use analytics data to build advertising profiles.
Marketing (optional)
Measures the performance of campaigns that bring people to the site. Off unless you turn it on.
4.Third parties
Some cookies may be set by service providers we use for hosting, content delivery, analytics, embedded media or form delivery. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices, and some may store or process data outside Australia. We only enable non-essential third-party cookies after you consent.
5.How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them; your consent record is kept for up to 12 months so we can evidence the choice you made, then we ask again.
6.Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a "do not track" or private-browsing mode. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site. Clearing your browser storage also clears your consent record, so the banner will appear again.
